LCHS Friday Focus

  Happy Friday!   I hope everyone has had a great 2 days at the start of the year. Just so you are aware, we have about 50 more kids in the building this year compared to last year. That is why the halls and commons seem fuller in the morning. As of Thursday morning, our building enrollment is 702.  Next week marks the start of the extra hour meetings. Reminder to make sure your PLC group can meet any day next week either at 7:00 am or 4:00 pm. Please fill out the spreadsheet if you haven't so CIA and admin will know when you are meeting.           Happy Friday! This will be my last Friday Focus for the 21-22 school year. I know some of you are cheering right now.  First off, thank you for all you have done this year. I know words can't express how much I appreciate working with a great staff. You really do make my job easy as I can be there to support you.  As we draw near the end of the year, just some reminders of things that will need to happen before you leave for the summer. 1. Make sure all grades are entered and you have finalized your gradebook. 2. Make sure you fill out the textbook inventory form. I will share this document with you so you can start working on it. 3. Please fill out your Tier 2 end of year reflection and share with Kyle or I prior to leaving on May 27. Next week we do have semester test, just a couple of items.  1.                 Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a great week. Today is the senior's last day of regular class. Seniors not taking the semester test will be checking out with you today. Part of the process is to check with the office and the library. Seniors will need to take their test with in their classes Monday or Tuesday. I do need all grades finalized by 3:30 on Tuesday so they can be stored. Amy will need to run the last of the academic awards that morning before practice.  The following paragraphs are reminders from last week. He will be in the library and all seniors will go in there and check in the computers.                Happy Friday! Thank you again for all the great things you do for our students! I hope everyone got plenty to eat this week, there definitely was no shortage of food. If you get a chance, please thank Primebank for the breakfast pizza, Pizza Ranch, and Bob's Drive Inn for the lunches on Wednesday and Thursday.  I had the opportunity to present our top 10 seniors at the Rotary Club on Tuesday. That is always a fun time to see how the students interact with community members and it is nice that the Rotary invites the top 10 to come to this lunch meeting. Each year, they have a speaker that challenges the students to use their leadership and gifts to help others. It is a good message for the students to hear.  The seniors are down to 6 days left of classes. If you have a senior failing a class, it is important that you communicate with the family and myself.               Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a great week! We will be wrapping up ISASP for another year today. On Monday, Mrs. Hill will have the students start making up tests they missed for one reason or the other.  We do have lots of subs in the building today. Please help out if needed, especially with the block schedule.  A big shout out to all those that helped organize and supervise at prom this year. I thought the event went off really well and the decorations were very nice. Another bonus is the students behaved really good. I had numerous comments from parents that worked after prom about how well mannered the students were.  Senior are down to 10 days of school left. Their last day will be May 13, then semester tests on the 16 and 17. Tests on the 17th need to be done by the end of 4th period. I will need final senior grades due at 4:00 pm that day.              Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. We are definitely in the home stretch of the school year. Seniors after today will have 15 days of class. Reminder their last day is May 13, semester tests are on May 16 and 17. I would like to have all tests done by the end of 4th period on the 17th. Students will take the test with their teacher. Senior Grades will be due at 8:00 am on May 18 so Amy can figure out the final awards for that night.  On Monday, I do need to meet with the seniors during advisory. We will meet in the little theater to go over the end of year stuff and talk about graduation. I will have the seniors report directly to the little theater.             Happy Friday!  I hope everyone had a great week.  This will be the Friday Focus for this week and next since we don't have school next Friday. As we finish the first week in April, the days for this school year are numbered. Please remind seniors that their last day of class is on May 13. (I bet they don't need to be reminded about this, but more about getting their work done before then.) Seniors will take their semester tests on May 16 and 17. May 18 will be the graduation practice and awards night. Seniors will need to have all their credits by May 18 otherwise they will not be walking at graduation on Sunday. If you have a senior failing a class, please discuss what they need to do to get a passing grade soon. I do not like to notify parents that their son/daughter may not graduate. It does create a level of stress for the parents and the student.  We will be doing the Evac drill on Monday at 10:30, the third time is the charm...
