   Friday Focus: The Final Countdown Happy Friday, everyone! As this is our final Friday Focus of the year, I’ve packed this update with everything you need to navigate our final week smoothly. Thank you for all your hard work getting us to the finish line! Celebrate Tracy Meylor! Please join us in the library this Monday at 3:45 PM for a retirement reception honoring Tracy Meylor. This gathering will take the place of the usual district reception. Let’s gather to celebrate Tracy’s career and wish her the very best in her next chapter!   Friday Focus Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. Please don't forget to grab lunch in the lounge today. This is just a small token of appreciation for all that you do.  Now is a dad brag: If you see Tessa, Sadie Meyer, Kinnick Leusink, and Claire Susemihl congratulate them for breaking the school and conference record in the shuttle hurdle relay.  It is hard to believe it is May 8 already and we only have 7 days of regular classes left. Mrs. Leavitt will be sending information out regarding summer professional development. We will post our QR codes by the mailboxes. You will have 15 hours again to learn about something that interests you and is applicable to your position.  Today is the last day for our Seniors. If they are not taking your semester test, please sign their checkout sheets today. Seniors will need to turn in their Chromebook to the library. Friday Focus Happy May Day! As a kid, I remember making May Day baskets and delivering them to your friends house. At least in Vermillion, we would leave it by the door, ring the doorbell, and then run. Maybe it was just a Westside Vermillion thing, Deb can speak for what the eastside did. Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week , and Adam and I will be providing lunch on Friday. I truly appreciate your dedication and willingness to work with students—even when challenging. Your professionalism and commitment to doing what's best for students never wavers. Just a reminder that all teacher contracts have been handed out, those are due next Friday to Central Office. I do have a trey on my desk if you want to hand it in to me and I'll get it to Central Office.  Seniors are down to a week. There are a few that are in jeopardy of not making it. Please let me know if you have a senior and that student will not make it.  At the end of the year, the district will not be holding the end...
