Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week! We were able to get the ISASP out of the way. Melissa and Judd will be working on getting the students that were absent scheduled to take the tests next week. 

I wanted to take take one more moment to thank you for all you have done this year. The 2020-2021 school year has been a different and sometimes stressful year. According to the news, the Pfizer vaccine is set to become available to students ages 12 and older. Hopefully, this will allow us to put this year behind us and move to a new sense of normal. 

These last 14 days of school will go by fast. Just to review dates, the seniors last day of normal class is May 14, semester tests will be on the 17 and 18th. Seniors will need to take the test during your class period. I do not have someone available to proctor them. They do need to be taken on Monday or Tuesday. They can not take them on Friday so they don't have to come to school on those days. Grades will be due May 19 at 7:30 am. Graduation breakfast is at 9, with practice to follow at 10. The senior awards ceremony will also be on the 19th at 6:30 pm in the MS Auditorium.

As you prepare for semester exams, please check out the activities listed on the last day of school. We will have some students gone for baseball or softball games. Like any other year, you can allow a kid to move a test if you feel it is in the best interest of the student. 

Just a reminder about the PLC workshop in August. Please respond to Mrs. Leavitt's email about attending. PLC's will be the focus for our PD activities again. You will learn about classroom data collection and using that data to drive your instruction, guide our PLC discussions, and help identify department level PD needed. I can't stress the importance of us being on the same page, so please try to attend the 2 day workshop.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!  Thank you for all the hard work you have put into making this year possible.  We have all struggled this year in ways we were not prepared for but I do believe this year has been a great success and everyone should be proud of what they have done to make it happen.  Moving forward, I think the challenges of this year will help make us stronger as individuals and as a School Community.  On a positive note- we have ZERO students out for Positive cases or even Covid-symptoms right now.  Continue to hold strong these last few weeks before a well-earned summer vacation!

I will send out a final list of Seniors who will need to take Semesters at the end of the day today.  Please make sure you are letting them know who needs to take them.  You will need to have the students take them in your room as Mrs. Isebrand has class.  If that isn't going to work and you need help finding an alternative setting please let us know.  I may still add some students if they are truant and will let those individual teachers know about it.  Early next week, I will need to send out an early list for underclassmen.  

Please make sure you are updating attendance.  I had several students last week, who missed the full day but were only counted truant 2 times.  It is important for us to know where these kids are at during the day and if we need to make contact with parents to find out what is going on with them.

  Friday Focus  Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week.  On Monday, I attended a DCAP workshop. You may be asking what is a DCAP workshop? DCAP is our District Career Academic Plan. Just like the student ICAP, Individual Career Academic Plan, the district must have one also. In the DCAP, we spell out what we are doing to prepare our students for college career readiness and employability skills. The DCAP consists of 7 sections, the main sections deal with course planning, work-based learning, and 5 essential components of ICAP.  The course planning section deals with the students 4 year plan and how the students and parents are advised on progress towards graduation. This is why we have the grade level registration meetings, our 8th grade CTE day, 8th grade parent meeting, etc so we can meet this requirement.  I am sure by this point, you are asking yourself how does this apply to me?   Friday Focus Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. We made it through graduation breakfast, practice, and award night. I was thinking that Wednesday is just as about as busy of a day as the Friday of homecoming for me.  This will be the last Friday Focus for the school year, so I'll try to remember to have everything you need to know to get through the last week of classes. Please remember contracts are due to Central Office on the 23rd. I do have a basket on my desk where you can turn it into me and I'll get it to Central Office.   We will be running the advisory schedule on Monday. On Tuesday, we will use the last day of school schedule. On the last day of classes students will be checking out. Please sign their check out sheets. If they have school property that needs to be returned, please document it on the sheet. During advisory that day, they will turn in their laptops.   Friday Focus Happy Friday!   I hope everyone has had a great week. Today is midterm of the 1st quarter. Please make sure all grades are up to date. Amy will run midterms and we will hand them out during 8th period.   I have had my first PASS plan turned in, congrats to Ms. Hommes to be the first one to get one done. Unfortuately is is for a senior that needs his credits. Next week is homecoming, let the fun begin. Monday night at 7:30 pm is the coronation. Come out to the competition gym to see who will be crowned this year's King and Queen.  On Monday, we will have class meetings so students can sign up for the different competitions. Freshmen will be in the Little Theater, Sophomores in the Library, Juniors in the Commons, and Seniors in the Competition Gym. Teachers with the asterick by their name in the Teacher Handbook are the lead teachers and will need to take charge of these meetings.  Dress up days for Homecoming Week. YOU CAN PARTICIPATE!...
