Happy Friday! This will be my last Friday Focus for the 20-21 school year. I know some of you are cheering right now.
First off, thank you for all you have done this year. I know words can't express how much I appreciate working with a great staff. You really do make my job easy as I can be there to support you. This has been the year if you were ever going to throw in the towel you would do it. Each and everyone you have made sacrifices and worked more extra hours than anyone on the outside will ever know or understand.
As we draw near the end of the year, just some reminders of things that will need to happen before you leave for the summer.
1. Make sure all grades are entered and you have finalized your gradebook. If you don't remember, I had shared a video made by an old wise man, Adam Moss. Make sure you tell him I said old.
2. Make sure you fill out the textbook inventory form. I shared this document with you so you can start working on it.
3. Please fill out your Tier 2 end of year reflection and share with Kyle or I prior to leaving on May 28.
Next week we do have semester test, just a couple of items.
1. Semester Test will be on Wednesday and Thursday. If a student wants to move it to another period and it benefits you, I don't have an issue with it.
2. Students do need to stay the entire period unless they have a pass from the office or a teacher.
Student check out day - May 25
We did change the schedule and it is programmed into the bells for Tuesday. During advisory, I do need you to make sure the student checked in their laptop and charger. If they turn in someone else's computer/charger, please note that on the check out sheet and we will try to figure out who stuff is really missing. If they didn't turn in anything write missing computer and/or charger.
On Tuesday, only those kids not taking semester test should be checked out. If they need to take your semester test, do not sign them out and do not sign out their computer. They may need it.
During advisory, the aides will be in the hallways helping with locker checks. Once the computer and charger have been signed in, they can go and clean out their lockers. If they don't have a locker, please keep them in the room. We don't need extra kids running the halls.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Have a Great Weekend!

Assistant Principal's Happenings
This year has been a marathon like no other and this last week has been a busy sprint to the final week of school! Thank you all for everything you do each day to have made this year happen. I know everyone has faced their own challenges and it may feel like you haven't achieved as much as in a normal year but you should be proud of the amazing efforts you have put forward. I know the mask policy change was quick and unexpected but thank you to everyone for working through one last new change this year.
We have had several students "lose" their computers this past week. Remind students they need to be responsible for the school property, just like a textbook, so they should not be leaving it places where they may lose sight of it.
Finally, please make sure you thank all of the students that have made this year possible. They have all gone through a lot as well and lost many normal opportunties they would have had. Congrats to all the track and field state participants! They have all been preforming well, including State Champion, Brandon Vander Sluis, in Discuss!
Ideas from the library/video class/student council
The library is now closed for the rest of the year unless students are returning books or paying fines. I will be in and out as my classes will be participating in some outdoor activities and helping me collect and put all video items away from the stadium and the gym.
I know it's way to early to think of this fall, but I came across a blog that has numerous links to free classroom posters. Check it out: CLASSROOM POSTERS. I also came across a YouTube video on how to located public Google forms, templates, lessons, etc. You may find some ideas/plans that you can use without creating new ones. Often, you can make a copy of the Google doc, form, etc, so you can now modify it with your own input. Richard Byrne's How to find public Google
