Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. Thank you for the discussion on Wednesday about how the year is going and procedures we are using. You all should have received the updated bell schedule. We will continue to evaluate how things are going and if we need to make modifications to what we are doing.
Looking ahead we have midterm on Tuesday. Please make sure grades are updated. Mr. Wingert has figured out one issue on why the grades were not calculating correctly. If your grades look off, please check a few by hand, and then talk with Mr. Wingert.
We will be doing parent teacher conferences differently this year. This is what I am putting in the October Newsletter to the parents.
"I want to draw your attention to the dates for our parent/teacher conferences. This year we will have our conferences on October 8 and 13 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Conferences will look different this year as you will need to schedule your conferences. We will not be allowing walk-in conferences this year. To schedule your appointment, please call the main office and Beth or Amy can help you schedule these appointments. The appointments can be live or through Google Hangouts. If you would like to do these through Google Hangouts, please make sure Beth or Amy have a current email address so the teacher can schedule the Hangout meeting. If you do choose to attend conferences, masks must be worn at all times. We will also be spacing out the classroom to protect the health and safety of our staff."
So, if you have certain parents you want to see, please invite or schedule the appointment with them. If you schedule an appointment, please be sure to let Beth and Amy know so they make sure they don't double book you.
Have a Great Weekend!

Assistant Principal's Happenings
Yesterday, I called 20 parents of Remote Learners who are falling behind and Julie Theisen will be sending the 2nd round of letters home to them. The other Remote Learners, around 60, are keeping up to pace. These are our students and we are doing what we can so they don't fall too far behind as they will hopefully be able to return to our classrooms in January or next year.
Homecoming is the week of the 28th-2nd. Currently, we are planning to have dress-up days each week along with a coronation on Thursday, October 1st. The Coronation will also include a Marching Band performance and Dance Team performance. Please watch BulldogBites with your class next Tuesday for the Homecoming Court Announcement!
I will be sending out an email for the first round of evaluations on my schedule. The evaluation cycle can be found on Dr. Iverson's website. Please look at your calendars and let me know what dates work for you for that.
A note from our custodians: they thank you for your efforts to get the desks cleaned each day as that adds a lot to their normal duties. A request from them is that you only use the sanitary towels for that and not on the whiteboards. They have to wash the different towels in separate loads due to Covid regulations and they shouldn't be mixing the uses of them.
Ideas from the library/video class/student council
Joe & Ben have been working hard to create, film, edit and publish Bulldog Bites. After discovering it takes a lot more time than they originally thought, they have decided to try for 2 times a week. They are hoping for Fridays and Tuesdays. The link will be sent out to all staff, but probably to all students as well. Tuesday, September 22, the Homecoming court will be announced via BulldogBites, so, if you are able, tune in during advisory.
First semester video students will be adding to BulldogBites as their skills improve. If you have ideas or events you would like them to cover via "film," please contact Joseph Rosener, Benjamin Ferris or me. Joe and Ben also to have a teacher feature and are working on a questionnaire that will be sent out soon. If you are willing to be a participant, please fill it out at your earliest convenience.
