Friday Focus

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. I know a few of us are really excited for tomorrow. 

I would like you to look at the PASS Plan spreadsheet to make sure you have turned in a PASS Plan to me. If it is not on there, then I don't have it documented it took place. A student can not fail a class if there was no PASS Plan. 

The seniors are getting closer to graduation. I have several that are failing classes that are needed for graduation. I encourage you to call home and talk to the parents to let them know what their student needs to get done to pass your class. I am also communicating with parents, but I can't tell them what needs to be done to pass. Seniors final day of class is May 8. They will take semester tests on May 11 and 12. On May 12 all tests need to be done by the end of 5th period. Senior grades are due at 8:00 am on May 13. This is a hard deadline as Mrs. Davis will need to run final awards for that night. All seniors will need to have 50 credits at this time or he/she will not be walking at graduation. 

The master schedule is back on hold as we have the opening in the Ag department. Hopefully I will have this filled in the next few days.

Grades 9-11 will have their semester tests on May 20-22. May 20 will be periods 1, 3, and 5; May 21 will be periods 2, 4, and 6; and May 22 will be periods 7 and 8. 

Test 1: 8:30 - 9:45
Test 2: 9:50 - 11:05
Lunch: 11:10 -12:10
Test 3: 12:15 - 1:30

Remind students they will need to stay in their class the entire time so bring something to read when done testing. I will allow you to make arrangements with a student to move a test if needed. The student will not need to talk with Mr. Moss or myself. Please only move them if it helps you out.

Here is the early report for the seniors that need to take semester tests. 

This report covers truants, ISS/OSS, absences, and tardies.

ISS/OSS/truants -- they must take ALL tests (shown in red)

"abs" indicates too many absences for that period -- they must take that period's test.

"td" indicates too many tardies for that period -- they must take that period's test.

Please look at the legend/codes at the top of the sheet.

Remember that teachers are responsible for determining which students need to take tests due to low grades:  a C- or below in either quarter -- please check both Q3 and Q4. 

You are responsible for notifying students if they are on this list for your period.  Please use some method that is discrete rather than announcing it to the entire class.  Thank you for your help.

  Friday Focus Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. We made it through graduation breakfast, practice, and award night. I was thinking that Wednesday is just as about as busy of a day as the Friday of homecoming for me.  This will be the last Friday Focus for the school year, so I'll try to remember to have everything you need to know to get through the last week of classes. Please remember contracts are due to Central Office on the 23rd. I do have a basket on my desk where you can turn it into me and I'll get it to Central Office.   We will be running the advisory schedule on Monday. On Tuesday, we will use the last day of school schedule. On the last day of classes students will be checking out. Please sign their check out sheets. If they have school property that needs to be returned, please document it on the sheet. During advisory that day, they will turn in their laptops.   Friday Focus Happy Friday!   I hope everyone has had a great week. Today is midterm of the 1st quarter. Please make sure all grades are up to date. Amy will run midterms and we will hand them out during 8th period.   I have had my first PASS plan turned in, congrats to Ms. Hommes to be the first one to get one done. Unfortuately is is for a senior that needs his credits. Next week is homecoming, let the fun begin. Monday night at 7:30 pm is the coronation. Come out to the competition gym to see who will be crowned this year's King and Queen.  On Monday, we will have class meetings so students can sign up for the different competitions. Freshmen will be in the Little Theater, Sophomores in the Library, Juniors in the Commons, and Seniors in the Competition Gym. Teachers with the asterick by their name in the Teacher Handbook are the lead teachers and will need to take charge of these meetings.  Dress up days for Homecoming Week. YOU CAN PARTICIPATE!...
