Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. I will not be here next Friday, so I am going to have this be the Friday Focus for the next 2 weeks. Tanner has his state swim meet in Fremont, Nebraska. He will be swimming 9 events in 3 days.
One final reminder that requisitions are due on Monday. Please make sure that you have included shipping on your requisition as that will also need to come out of your line item.
The end of the quarter is on the 15th, grades will be due Friday morning at 8:00 am. Amy will run report cards that day. Mr. Formanek will also come out with the ineligible list that day. In order to remain eligible, students need to pass 4 full time classes. If a student is ineligible, he/she will sit the 4th quarter per our policy.
I have been asked about snow make up days, the board will discuss this matter at the Monday board meeting. I want to remind you that it is not appropriate for you to address this directly with board members. You will need to follow the chain of command on this, please bring concerns to me, and then to Dr. Webner if you feel I didn't do anything with your concern.
Thank you for your work and attention on Wednesday at inservice. Many of the strategies that CIA presented would be excellent to try in your classroom in the next few weeks. During the April inservice, CIA will present some more classroom strategies.
I have had a couple of questions about ISASP. On Monday and Wednesday we will run the odd periods, and on Tuesday and Thursday we will run the even periods. Monday and Tuesday will be the Reading and Math tests and Wednesday and Thursday will be the Science and Writing tests. All students will have open lunch those 4 days. Otherwise all other attendance policies are in place. Remind students that if they get called out during a study hall, the will not be able to participate in any practices or events on that day.
Coming up in April, we will be giving the Conditions for Learning survey. A date for that will be set soon. I will also send out further instructions on what message we need to reinforce with the students prior to them taking this survey.
To add to your calendar, we have our second to last evac drill scheduled for 3/22 at 2:50 pm.
Have a Great Weekend!

I am going to make a checklist of reminders for this Friday Focus:
-Opens for Juniors who are on NHS will start on the 15th. They have been notified and their schedules are updated if they have turned in the permission form.
-Opens for Seniors will be removed if students if failing a class at Quarter and is in jeopardy of not graduating. There may be some flexibility on this based on life needs but for the most part these students will not have Opens until they are passing.
-I am going to start tardy detentions in the next week or two. I will send out a list to teachers to talk to students and parents when they are getting too many tardies. Once they reach 7 tardies, I will give them a two-hour detention that they will need to serve.
-Attendance Contracts- I am planning to meet with any students who will need an attendance contract. If students are coming before or staying after school and let you know they are on an attendance contract, please let me know so I can count that time.
-Please have students check to see if they have any truants on their attendance on PowerSchool. If they do, but believe they should not have one make sure they email me so I can check on it. Right now, anyone with a truant should plan on taking all semester tests.
-Quarter grades are due this next week and I will be sending out the ineligibility list Friday. If you have students in activities make sure they are aware they must be passing 4 full-time classes. P.E. is only a partial credit so it does not count toward the four.
-Reminder for Finals- part of the requirement is having a C- or better in both quarters. Remind students who are close to that C- range to keep their grades up these last few days of the quarter.
Have a great weekend!
