Happy Friday! I hope every one enjoyed the extra time off this week. I am glad we didn't get as much snow as projected. Who knows if we would have been in school today if we had gotten that 10+ inches of snow.

The MTSS group will be asking you to sit down with each student in advisory to go over their score from last year and help them set goals for this year. They will also have a slideshow for you to use to go over with your advisory the importance of the ISASP. If you don't have access to a TV in your advisory room, please let me know. I do need everyone to do this.

ISASP are scheduled for the week of March 27. We will run the block schedule for 4 days. On March 27 & 28 we will give the reading and math tests and on March 29 & 30 we will give the science and writing tests. If you are going to be gone on the day of the ISASP, please remind me so I can make sure your sub has the test security training. Speaking of ISASP training, if you are administering the ISASP, please don't forget to complete your training. Please refer back to the email that I sent out for the instructions on how to do this. I do need this done individually as the PearsonNext portal will be keeping track on who has completed the test security training.

We will be starting to conduct interviews for the math and English openings. Math interviews will happen this afternoon. Mr. Formanek and I will be tied up with those and English interviews will be taking place on Monday afternoon.

The end of the 2nd trimester is on Feb. 27 and the end of 3rd quarter is on March 15. Trimester grades will be due on March 1 by 8:00 am. I will have Amy run those report cards at that time. This will also be another eligibility window for activities. If a student failed a trimester course, He/she will be ineligible for  30 days. Mr. Formanek will come out with that list if needed.

I have had some PASS plans turned into me and I have been notified of some extensions. Please refer to the PASS Plan spreadsheet if you want to know if I have a record of a meeting or an extension. The last day for any PASS Plans or extensions is April 17.

Have a Great Weekend!

Assistant Principal's Happenings

I do not have a lot of updates after only being at school for half a day this week.  As Dr. Iverson stated please send me a list of any students who fail a class at Trimester so I can update the ineligiblity list.  If you have any Seniors failing a class, please make note of that as well so we can check on graduation requirements for them.

Please check over rosters if you have any changes at the Trimester.  Truancy numbers usually go up at the trimester because students do not realize the change is happening or go to the wrong study hall.  If you have students that aren't on the list have them look over their schedule or head to the office to get to the correct location.

Beth Meyer's last day is today.  Please tell her good-bye and wish her luck as she starts out on a new adventure at the Ice Cream Parlor.  We still do not have a replacement at this time and I will be moving some aides around to cover things if a sub is not available.  Please communicate with the aides, special education teachers, and me if you need something covered while we work to find a new person to fill the role.
