Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Since I missed out on making lunch for all of you, I'll make sure I do that this fall when we start the school year. Thank you for all you have done this year and during this time when things have been anything but a normal end of the school year. I have had a chance to meet with every department but CTE and the Music staff. I'll meet with them today. It sounds like we are having fewer students accessing the enrichments. Just a reminder that we need to keep providing the enrichments so we can count these as school days under the voluntary enrichment plan.
In the next few weeks Kyle and I will be brainstorming many "what if's" for how next year could start or how it could look. I am kind of superstitious, so if I have plans for scenarios, we won't need them and we will have a normal start.
I am going to cancel our department meetings for the week of May 18 and schedule a large all staff meeting for May 22. I think we need a time to bring this year to an end and give closure. We also have three members of our LCHS teaching staff and Katie Driggs has also resigned her study hall position at the end of the school year. I'll send out the invite for that meeting later in the next week.
Beth has put a check out sheet in your mailboxes so when you come and get your room ready for the summer, please grab all of the mail or papers in your mailbox. Don't worry about getting our signatures. I do need you to continue to let Judd and Melissa know if any students need to make up credits in summer school this year. Please email Kyle or myself a final reflection on your Tier 2 plan for this year by May 22.
I haven't heard any official word on what LMS we will use next year. When I hear the official word, I'll let you know what was chosen.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you that are mothers. I hope you are able to spend time with your family. We are going to sneak across state lines and see my parents on Saturday. Since the weather will be nice, we will hang out in their back yard.
Unfortunately for you, my kids have really done anything lately that will give me a good story to share. Maybe Kyle will have something good for you in his update.
Enjoy the weekend!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you for everything you do and for the great effort all of you have put forward over these challenging times. This staff has been great to work with as a first-year administrator. Your professionalism and effort you put into teaching are inspiring and our students are far more fortunate than they realize to have a staff that truly cares.
I don't have a lot of new information for you this week. Dr. Iverson wants a story so I have one with my kids. About a month ago, I sent a picture of my kids being excited for the new classwork from their teacher (Mrs. Sam) my wife. She is actually my oldest son's teacher at Guardian Angel. This week they only completed one task of the nine Mrs. Sam put out this week so even pre-schoolers are sick of this school setting. While it is easy to get discouraged when fewer students are participating, know that more people are realizing the importance of teachers and the great work they do every day to help students prepare for their futures.
For those on their 50th treasure hunt expedition: right after the railroad bridge, there is a fox den. Here is a picture from the other day if you are looking for some new wildlife.
