LCHS Friday Focus

Happy Friday, It is hard to believe that we are down to single digits for the number of Friday's left in the school year. That means, this year is about done. Thank you to those of you who have scheduled PASS Plans now. I do know how crazy and busy this time of year gets. Remember the purpose of the PASS Plan is to remind the parent and student it is their responsibility to get the work done and study. It is our responsibility to provide the opportunities and to continue to check to make sure our students are learning the material.  Something Neal and I have been discussing is doing some sort of college wall in the lunch room. What we were thinking of is hanging a pennant then putting staff names under the pennant. If you have another idea, please let us know.  Students will be taking the CPT for concurrent classes on Tuesday in the library. Happy Friday! I am not sure how much I like these full weeks after the past couple. The every-other day rotation wasn't that bad. This week also starts "March Madness". I hope your brackets survived the first couple of rounds. Today is the end of the 3rd quarter. Grades will be due Tuesday morning. If you have a student who has had extended absences you may give them an incomplete, then notify Neal or I when the work has been made up. Beth and Amy will run report cards after 8:30 on Tuesday. Please put your comments under Q3.  Thank you to those who have scheduled PASS plans. It is important to catch these early to give the student and parent a better chance to get things turned around. If you have a senior that is in trouble in your class, please let me know so I can meet with them. Happy Friday! Maybe next week will be a normal week, pretty soon snow days should be behind us. Looking ahead to next week on Wednesday we have an assembly in the competition gym at 1:10. Aaron Thomas will be speaking to our and Gehlen's student bodies. Please have our students sit on main bleachers, Gehlen will be on the end bleachers. This should last a hour and then students will return to 6th period class. We will take the time left in the school day and then run through the last 3 periods.  I will be starting to work on the master schedule and will hopefully have that done in a couple of weeks. Once I have something that looks good, I will ask a few of you to look at it for potential conflicts. When eve rything looks good, I'll load students into the schedule and hopefully we will be all set. Don't forget requisitions are due on Monday.
