Happy Friday! This will be my last Friday Focus of the school year. I hope you all have had a great week. We made it through graduation practice and the awards night. I am trying to decide which day is busier, the homecoming Friday or this past Wednesday. Although I was rather impressed with the seniors this year, they actually listened and did a good job.  I met with Judd and Melissa this week to discuss summer school. Right now, we show quite a few students that are failing one or more classes. If the student ends up failing your class, please look at the percentage and if they are close please consider credit recovery as an option.               Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a great week. Don't forget about lunch in the lounge today. Adam and I would like to thank you all for everything you do for our students.  Today is the last day for our Seniors. If they are not taking your semester test, please sign their checkout sheets today. Seniors will need to turn in the Chromebook to the library. Senior final grades are due at 8:00 am on Wednesday, May 15. I have been asked about the semester tests for other the other grades. Students will need to remain in the classroom the entire testing time. They can not leave early to go to another room or to leave the building. A student may move a test if it benefits you, otherwise they need to take it when they are scheduled. Remember, the...

A huge thank you to the entire staff for all you do for our students.  Last week, I attended an AI workshop in Des Moines and found it really cool on what you can do. In the morning we were able to play with different AI tools and in the afternoon we discussed ethical uses and creating guidelines. This student guideline poster is good starting point for discussions on how we can teach students the appropriate use of AI. One thing that I learned is that AI checkers will be obsolete within 3 years. I also learned that programs like Grammerly are AI based and that will set off the AI checkers. Also, any computer program that will offer you word suggestions as you are typing use AI to do this. I know we have some students that use Grammerly, so if you accuse a student of using AI, just kn...
