Happy Friday! The week goes by a little faster when you don't have school on Wednesday. One final call for summer maintenance. I will be turning this into Dr. Webner later today. I am also taking a final call for next school year calendar feedback. We have option 1 that starts school on August 23 and option 2 that starts school on August 26. Both plans have the same vacation days. Option 1 last day of school will be May 21 with teacher checkout on May 22. Option 2 last day of school will be May 22 with teacher checkout on May 26. Since we missed our extra hour meeting this past Wednesday, we will make it up on 2/27. Our first March meeting will be on March 6 and we will meet in the library to go over the ISASP. We have our district in-service on March 13 and our second building in-service on 3/20.  For those of you who have trimester classes, the 2nd trimester ends on 2/25. I will need to store grades on 2/28, so please make sure grades are updated by 8:00 am that day. Do...

Happy Friday! Enjoy the scheduled three day weekend and be happy we are not in Eastern Iowa. A few districts over there had only 2.5 days of school in a 2 week stretch. Thank you for your patience this week with trying to get different activities in.   Tonight, you have a chance to see the dance team perform for a final time this year. Show starts at 6:30, dinner at 5:00. Tomorrow, the girls' varsity basketball team will be facing SBL, game starts at 7:00 pm. On Monday, we will be hosting the NWI Jazz Band. If you have a chance come on over and check it out. The boys' varsity basketball team will also be making their tournament debut playing Spirit Lake at 8:00 pm. We have our extra hour meeting next week. Our meeting on March 6 will be in the library so we can discuss the ISASP and testing procedures. Happy Friday! This weather pattern we are in is getting old. Tuesday next week marks midterm for the third quarter. Please make sure grades are updated Tuesday morning so Amy and Beth can run midterms. We will pass them out at the end of the day. During advisory on Monday, please have the students fill out the 3rd quarter midterm reflection.  Looking ahead at the calendar, w e have our extra hour meeting on February 20. February 13 is the district in-service day.  The foundation is in search of nominations for employee of the month. If interested in nominating one of your peers, please fill out the form. This can be found online on the www.lemarscsd.org website. This is a change from before . This year we will be giving the ISASP (formally Iowa Assessments) differently than in the past. Happy Friday! Are you ready for the warm up? I will be glad when we hit 40 degrees tomorrow. It will feel like shorts and t-shirt weather after Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We are getting to that time of year again when I will be coming around asking for summer maintenance items. This is for items that cannot be done during the year, if you have a routine maintenance item, please use the repair@lemarcsd.org email to make that request. You may email me you summer maintenance or wait for me to get to your room to ask.  Requisitions will not be far behind. I know you don't know numbers yet, so if you need a rough ideas come and see me and I'll let you know. We haven't started to create a schedule yet as I am waiting to see what the legislation does with the financial literacy requirement that was passed last session.
